Our Roll-Off drivers work hard and earn big! They are responsible for the hauling of construction debris from high volume construction sites as well compactors from commercial and industrial properties. The dumpster rental driver is responsible for performing assigned duties on dumpster service deliveries and hauling of roll-off routes. This position involves mounting and dismounting a heavy-duty truck numerous times each day.
Dumpster Rental Routes may require drivers to navigate through congested communities and confined or tight areas in city and suburban locations. Backing skills are essential as a large percentage of the time spent servicing customers is done in reverse. Our Dumpster Rental drivers routinely climb in and out of the truck cab to service customer accounts and at times need to climb onto the containers to smooth loads or secure tarps for transport.
In addition, the position involves lifting (up to 50 – 75 pounds), pushing, pulling, and bending. Our dumpster rental drivers, who have safe driving records, also communicate professionally with customers and dispatch at all times, and comply with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations and with Company Policies.
Required work hours may be up to the legal limits allowed and may require weekend and/or holiday work. Work hours will vary by route. Drivers must be able to read and understand a map and/or GPS Device, complete daily driver logs, as well as pre and post-trip truck inspections. This position will require you to work in all weather extremes including hot and cold, wet and dry conditions. Truck cabs often do not have air conditioning but may include a small fan.
Qualifications for the Dumpster Rental Driver position include:
Must have a Class A or B CDL with air brakes endorsement valid for the state in which you are applying to work in.
At least 1 year of previous experience operating a vehicle requiring a CDL within the past 7 years
Clean driving record
Must be at least 21 years of age
Legally eligible to work in the United States
Must be able to speak, read, and write English well enough to converse with customers and dispatchers, understand highway traffic and signals, respond to official questions, and be able to make legible entries on reports and records.
Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) drug screen, background and motor vehicle records check.
Have current medical card.
